Adalyn's Modeling Session - Summerfest Contest

As most of you know Adalyn is my 19 month old baby girl. She's a little spoiled not only because she's the baby of the family but she's the only girl out of 4 kids so the whole family dotes on her and she loves every minute of it. When I heard of the local photography contest I knew she would be the perfect model for my submission. The rules were that the photos had to be shot on that Monday and edited, printed, framed and turned in by Wednesday morning. We had so much fun dressing her up on Monday and going out shooting multiple times (naps in-between of course!). I got so many good shots of her it was hard to decide which one to enter but ended up going with this one.

We didn't end up winning but that's ok because I did it just for fun and we ended up with this beautiful picture in a framed 16x20 for her wall :) Here are some of the other photos from her session. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

So sweet I could just melt.

Lil' Diva

My mom would call this a "Rebecca Face" since I always made this face when I was little.

New Camera!

I ordered the Nikon D7100 a few days ago and have been anxiously checking the mail everyday for it's arrival. My oldest son came running back in my room this morning carrying a huge box and telling me I had a package. He sat there while I opened it and seemed to be as excited as I was! Then he asked if he can have my old D3100. Even though the answer to that was no, I did offer to help him learn on my old camera. It makes me so happy that he is showing an interest in Photography! I started getting interested in it while I was very young too and I wish I had someone who could teach me. Well I couldn't wait to go out and snap a few pics with my new camera and luckily I have the perfect little model who wouldn't even know what to do if we went a whole day without taking her picture. I can't wait for my next session but I'm sure I'll find plenty of things to document until then. There's never a dull moment in my house.

Gracie

Gracie came to me for her 6 month pictures. She was the perfect little subject staying in the same spot and staring at me with those big blue eyes. As long as we were there we snuck some pics in with big sister and mom.
